Wind went ahead and took care of a spruce we were planning to have cut down. It was half dead and too close to the house and power lines. Wind dropped it in exactly the right spot.

I think the dog did it.

Just coffee for now. We've changed from light rain to big blops of slush falling from the sky.

We try to keep them from peeing on the 4 trees we planted last year... I showed Maximus the spruce and said “see, this is why we don’t pee on trees... look what you did!”

He did not seem particularly remorseful.

Kind of rainy here. I am waiting to go outside to see if it clears up at all.

I need to get the brisket going and mix up some bread. Making food for us and to take to mom and dad tomorrow. I was going to bake a pie, but my sister says they already have pie and cookies since dad's birthday was Wednesday so I guess I will wait and make a dessert for next time I go.

I had to get the wood stove going...the furnace was running. Cats were getting chilled and giving me the stink eye.

Sorry to see the trees down, Chez but glad you didn't have damage to your house. Sorry to see that Shadow did. I miss him.

I do it mainly to keep in touch with family, but probably spend more time on it than I should. Work days keep me off the internet so that limits my time on any forums.

I guess I better get started on some of what I want to get done today. It is starting to warm up a bit in here so the bread will rise better.
