A doberman, my brother used to have one years ago. It seemed like a nice dog. A puppy?

I never bought a grown up dog. Do they get attached to you pretty quick?

Yes they do! I had Rex that was 5 when I got him from a dog pound! He rode all the way home with his muzzle on my shoulder! and I could take him any place with me! He would never get any farther than 15 to feet from me with out a leash on! He was a great dog! :D

    they most certainly do

I had a pound puppy that was 5 or 6 when I got him... stood by me from day one

we also had to give a dog away.. he wouldn't go with anyone most of the time. The guy we chose to have him came to pick him up and Prozzie followed him out the gate and jumped right into his truck and never looked back

    morning to BTW

Do you usually get older dogs then? I have always gotten a puppy.

no it really made me happy that we made the right choice. We didn't want to give him up but he was beating on the older male dog we had. One of them had to go. I know he had a good home. Rode in the golf cart or ran along beside it, had tons of fields to run through and have fun. He was a good dog
