Good morning Sam and Expat! Slept in until about 4:45 this morning.

Something's going on with my right hand. Thumb joint hurts for some reason. I don't know what I did to it, but it's hard to grip anything. Just started yesterday afternoon. Hopefully I just strained it somehow.

I woke up between 0330 and 0400. Just couldn't get back to sleep, tried but failed.

Need to put some Icy Hot on it but I've gotta wait until after breakfast. Don't want my ham and cheese omelet to taste like Icy Hot.

I was kind of drifting in and out starting about then, and finally gave up and got up.

I'm going to put up the tarp on the west end of the deck today. I think I'll hold off a bit longer on tarping the southern exposure. Not ready to feel like I'm in a cave yet.

Yeah, I generally have it all tarped up by about Thanksgiving. That's about when I move the tv back inside too, unless it looks like a protracted cold period before then. I hate it though. I hate giving up on summer/fall.

That's the plan. But not too far south. I still like 4 seasons, and I don't want to worry about things that can eat me if I go swimming in a lake. Thinking Tennessee.
