Where ever my GPS says I am
I fell in love with an old truck, I want it, I'm dreaming of what I would do with it. I would keep it as is for a while but then I would lower it (air bags) and put a more power V8 in it. 1950 F1. I wish I could afford it. At least it made for good pictures. Maybe helping the owner sell it along with a 1931 ford truck, 1930 Model A, 1928 custom racer built on a 28 Model A frame and drivetrain with custom body.

Pretty neat. Funny how what used to be considered a **** pile is now worth more than a nice truck.

So ole boy fits a junk yard LS engine and has maybe 2 K or so in that part. Maybe 1K in the interior possibly 2 with the shifter and gauges. Wheels aint cheap etc and so on.

No way on earth that piece is worth that money.

    But I do like it.

I really like the patina thing and I have mixed feelings as to the value. On one hand you’ve got manual labor and skill to produce a nice paint job, on the other hand you’ve got a one of a kind natural finish produced by Mother Nature.

    Story time

Guy from the end of the street knocks on the door yesterday at about 1500.
His 1970 SS 396 Chevelle would not start after being parked all winter. Upon entering his garage the smell of starting fluid and raw gas was overwhelming. Standard check is it getting fuel ? Yes is it getting spark ? no best guess points rusted points.
Pulled cap yep rusted points he said “I’ll run to “auto Zone” I told him I think I have some. In a old box from the 80’s I have several new sets of Accel points found a GM set.
Installed points fired up fine let it warm up set timing set dwell I like GM’s window in the cap so much easier. I then had him chock it put it in gear and set the carb with a vacuum gauge.
Took it for a test drive all good it still has R12 A/C it will freeze you.
Guy is in his early 30’s good family man has plenty of disposable income .
He asked me how I knew how to do all that “stuff”?
I explained. him back in the day you had to do what we did on a regular basis on all cars most men only went to a shop for major repairs.

    His car is cool

Just watched the Cash Days Street Outlaws from Monday night. Berry Nicholson and his Godfather Camaro took one heck of a wild ride.
