IMPD detectives presented the rape charges to MCPO weeks ago. Mears refused to file them even though there was significant evidence the crime occurred.
I wonder what changed in order for Mears to add the charge now. Was some additional publicity about to hit showing Mears for what he is?

No link, but WIBC is reporting she's getting busted again for violating home detention. Got in an argument with a Township Trustee, probably one who wants her fired.
It just amazes me how these people cant just follow orders.

The cop who got busted for diddling a teen got locked back up for violating the no contact order.

Embattled Center Township constable ordered to return to jail

“Despite being asked multiple times to stop her disorderly behavior, Constable Hatch refused and continued her tirade in front of an audience,” according to court documents. The disturbance didn’t stop until a special deputy working security intervened.

The incident happened at the Julia Carson Government Center during the monthly meeting of the Center Township Democrat Club. Hatch was in her constable uniform at the time and was wearing her GPS ankle monitor.

The trustee told police she asked Hatch to leave the meeting three times, and eventually used an expletive to get Hatch to leave. Once the special deputy intervened, Hatch left, using repeated profanity and calling the trustee “b****” approximately 15 times in the hall outside the meeting room.

Seems to me to be a little judicial with the term "Embattled". She's only "Embattled" because she can't obey the law.
