Ugh, literally anything she says is moronic. Really says something about the people who elected her.
Her opposition democrat was a big money ward style politician, closer to Tammany Hall than modern NY. He was an ally and considered a possible successor to Nancy Pelosi. Not much of a hipster.
It's difficult for me to under stand why young people would want to identify as socialists, over history it's not proven to be a very hip, stylish, or colorful. When I think of the word, I see images of gray, drab, uniformity. punctuated with boredom and not a little fear.

Reading all your responses tells me that I joined the right group! I was honestly starting to think " AM I THE ONLY PERSON WITH COMMON SENSE" Until here!
Best 20 bucks I ever spent....I know I'm not alone!
I suspect her endeavors at Boston University were less focused on academics and more honing her activist agenda. My suspicion is that she conveniently chose to pick and choose those minor parts of historical data relating to Socialism that fit her ideological preconceptions. Because of that, she can reference her secondary education as qualifying her to speak with authority. Not a direct quote from her, but I believe she has stated it is better to be ideologically right than to have to rely on the facts to press an argument. That’s why it’s impossible to have an intelligent dialogue with her. She chooses to only rely on certain facts that promote her cause, not all the facts that present all sides of the issue.
