    This week's Gameranx wrap-up

    3. 3D Realms publishing new FPS running in classic Quake engine
    4. Nintendo instructing smartphone app makers (of Nintendo games) to cut back on microtransactions. They don't want to feel greedy.

Ok, I'm stepping out of the closet on this one. My kids got me hooked on Fortnite! There, I said it. I wish I could feel better about myself now but feel so vulnerable since I said it! LOL

    This week's Gameranx wrap-up

    1. Rumor that Sony was buying Take-Two/Rockstar have been debunked.
    2. Possible new game console reveal at GDC by Google, next week. Possibly a set-top box that streams games to you.
    3. Turtle Rock Studios announced new game, "Back 4 Blood". Lot of same team behind "Left 4 Dead"... sounds like a sequel outside of Valve's purview.
    4. Gearbox teasing Borderlands 3. Woo! March 28 reveal at PAX East.
    5. Launch trailer for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice released, looks incredible.
    6. No Man's Sky Beyond trailer/initiative revealed. Essentially makes the game an MMO.
    7. Rumor that Lady Gaga is in Cyberpunk 2077, apparently.
    8. Someone found an NES cartridge of "Nintendo World Championships 1990", which was only given out to competition winners. Estimated $20,000 value.

Just spent the last few hours in Pokerstars VR.

It's an early access free game... really a lot of fun. You're seated at a poker table with up to 8 people, and you just play hold-em. Lot of interactive stuff like cigarettes, cigars, pipes, lighters, etc... you can interact with other people, etc. The poker play is super fun (as long as there isn't one douche just going all-in every round). Environments are cool, like the old Western taverns and Japan, etc. Voice chat pretty good when you've got a solid table of people from around the world. Played a good long time with a German, Demark, Norway, Canadian, and a couple other Americans.

Lot of fun for a free game.
