Yeah, I had a VERY small one of these blow through my back yard about 30 years ago. Blew me about 30 feet into my back fence, broke my deck and destroyed my hot tub. Oh, also peed blood for about a week. I was NOT happy.

They're pretty common where I grew up. We call them "sun devils."

Sounds like you were banged around some.

An uncle was pulling a powered wheel rake, getting set to bale hay, we were both on the tractor. He was driving, I was a teen kid, operating the rake lifts when a sun devil began to spin up near us.

He shut the tractor down, we both bailed and ran 90 degrees away like we were taught.
That little sun devil hit the wheel rake and shook it around to the limits of the slop in the three point, just like it was a doll house toy.

No one wants to get any of that on them!!
