    My '80s pick up had a round one for the door, glove box and gas cap.
    Factory locking gas cap, maybe an option. Gas was "expensive" back then and often stolen.

    Square one had an early era chip and only worked for the ignition.

    EDIT: I forgot to mention, I could start the truck, get it warming and take the key out of the ignition switch with it running if I needed to for some reason.
    But it would die if you tried to put it gear without the chip key in place.
    Scary science!

    I had my add on tool box keyed to match the round door lock key.

    When I was volunteering as an EMT, I occasionally did intake interviews in the ER when there was low run volume. It was a more innocent time before the Internet educated us all. I was pretty surprised by the number of things inserted in various orifices with implausible explanations as to how "that" got "there". You would get the truth, or some semblance, on occasion. "My wife and I were experimenting..." (It was a cue ball, you're well past experimenting at that point...)
