Long time ago I went to Yellowstone and was staying at the Old Faithful Inn and a buffalo wandered in and was grazing on the lawn near the Inn. Pretty soon a whole bunch of us tourists were standing around looking at him and he noticed he was surrounded. He didn't like the situation so he just picked a direction and started trotting. He happened to be aimed right at a kid who must have been one of the dumber people there because he started running away right in the path of the buffalo. The buffalo didn't much care, he just ran right over the kid. He happened to step on the kid's leg and broke it and kept going. He came to one of those loopy chain fences they have that must have been about 2 1/2 to 3 feet high. He jumped right over it with no problem and for such a huge, heavy animal he looked extremely graceful doing it, like it was nothing. They are pretty cool animals.

Years ago we went out to Wall SD to shoot prairie dogs.
Staying in the primitive campground , it was a big bowl shaped with a creek running through it.
Got up one morning and there was a herd of Buffalo grazing by the creek . A man woman an a kid about 10 were about 3/4 of the way to the herd, walking like they were on a dairy farm.
