John Wayne's was good. Jeff Bridges was better.

Overall, I liked the remake better, but I thought John Wayne was the superior Rooster.

I remember being impressed at the wheat fields in Canada. I was somewhere around either Regina or Edmonton, don't remember now, and it was solid wheat for miles in every direction. I stopped and climbed up on my truck and took some pictures.
In Minnesota we tend to have gravel roads at every mile on the section lines but they didn't have that, no roads, no trees, no hills, no nothing except wheat as far as I could see.
