I was thinking of renting a heavy hauling towtruck; you know, the ones that haul ENTIRE semis. I'll just take the whole contraption away and work on it at my leisure with real tools in the garage....

Might be faster to 'borrow a car' and accidentally hop-the-curve.
I doubt it would survive a head on collisions, and it would be faster.
(especially if said car/truck had 'Yes we can!' bumper sticker on it).

I remember reading about that. Apparently 3M only had $500 of real currency stacked on top of fake money and they had a guard posted out with it. He was to make sure people were following th erules and only trying to break it using only their feet or hands... sounds like 3M was cheating to me.
