Hmmm . . . someone seems to be unclear on at least one of those concepts and their application to real life.

If I remember correctly, being transgender (with the actual operation) is acceptable in some of those areas where being homosexual is not. I saw something about Iran (I think) having high rates of surgical gender reassignment due to it allowing guys to like guys even if they don't "feel" like a woman in a man's body or whatever.

I saw something else where there were girls being raised as boys (clothing, name, roles) in certain Muslim areas so that they could rule over their sisters (no boys born to the family) and inherit the family's property. She/he could escort her sisters places, didn't perform traditionally female tasks at home (cooking/cleaning, for example) and had the typical rights of a male in that society. It was kept hush-hush and she'd bind her breasts when they started coming in, sometimes getting a mastectomy.

1. One of the funniest things I've ever seen because true.
2. Most of us deal with this every day.
3. It crosses all cultures and languages . . . somewhere there is always a woman asking a man what he is thinking then either disappointed or enraged (or both) when the man tells her or does not tell her.
4. It's always a trap even if they're not planning it as a trap, it's going to be a trap if you open your mouth.
