Okay. we're giving out "zero" rep for crying out loud. How the **** do you spread around zero? Hmm? C'mon, if we're not going to get the rep points back, at least take off the requirement to spread zero around.

:yesway: The point of spreading the rep around is to keep people from gaming the system. When there are no points, there is no system to game.

I used to cross the Hudson using the Tappan Zee Bridge. I dodged plastic trashcans, 4x4 timbers, bales of hay, and most terrifying, concrete blocks that came off a vehicle going the other way and bounced over onto my side of the road. Traffic was going 60+ in both directions, so I was probably initially closing at 100+ mph. I saw multiple cars on my commute entirely engulfed in flame. Spent two+ hours going home one day after a truck went over the side of the bridge, dodging an idiot car driver, leaving a gaping hole in the guard rail, killing the truck driver and closing the southbound lane. My first week of work, a transvestite stock broker had been arrested for killing his lover. He somehow overpowered his lawyer and escaped custody. It took almost three hours to get home that day -- NY State troopers were every exit and the toll booths examining cars looking for him, and they weren't sure if it was a man or a woman they were looking for. Driving down the NJ Turnpike going to Newark Airport, the southbound lanes were completely closed because a police pursuit ended in a shootout at a toll plaza. Driving in the NYC/NJ area can be crazy. The sad thing is that I actually got used to this and kind of thought that's what life is like.
