Kind of slick if you need to haul a real long piece of lumber with a short bed truck. When I built my deck, I had some of the longer pieces running through my rear cab window and all the way to the dashboard of my crew cab short bed. Still stuck out 4 feet in the rear.

Well, that is a better use of the hitch than hanging truck nuts. I find those disgusting. And I have a heck of a time explaining them to young children, especially girls. Freedom of speech I agree with, but those border on porno, IMHO.

I used to work with a guy that had a "pocket pickup"... A couple of us discussed finding a pair of marbles and a ziplock baggie and fastening it to the back of his truck's back bumper
