How'd I know that was a 500? Yes, you can buy the shotgun in that configuration for gawd knows what reason, and yes, you'll have to do the paint yourself, but you still have a couple of constitutional rights last I checked, so have at.

    Indeed I did

Kinda rough top and bottom. Like the golfer that was told he was standing too close to the ball, after he'd hit it, looks like you weren't standing close enough to the razor.

Side thought... Since Indiana classifies pistol-grip-only shotguns as handguns, would that qualify as a "vertical fore grip on a handgun" and thus an AOW?

Well it's not vertical and you are combining federal and state classification, so no.
Well Kirk, the rails on this particular section of track are still pretty parallel.

    Federal definition of shotgun:

    (5) The term “shotgun” means a weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of an explosive to fire through a smooth bore either a number of ball shot or a single projectile for each single pull of the trigger.

    Indiana Definition of shotgun:

    IC 35-47-1-11
    "Shotgun"
Sec. 11. "Shotgun" means a weapon designed or redesigned, made
or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder and designed
or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of the explosive
in a fixed shotgun shell to fire through a smooth bore either a number
of ball shot or a single projectile for each single pull of the trigger.

    Federal Definition of handgun:

    (29) The term “handgun” means—
    (A) a firearm which has a short stock and is designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand; and
    (B) any combination of parts from which a firearm described in subparagraph (A) can be assembled.

    Indiana definition of handgun:

    IC 35-47-1-6
    "Handgun"
Sec. 6. "Handgun" means any firearm:
    (1) designed or adapted so as to be aimed and fired from one (1)
hand, regardless of barrel length; or
    (2) any firearm with:
    (A) a barrel less than sixteen (16) inches in length; or
    (B) an overall length of less than twenty-six (26) inches.

And the "vertical-ness" of the chainsaw grip is debatable, but I've also had this question in regards to PGO shotguns with a standard VFG.

Doh. I didn't make it and unless I'm trying I suck at proofreading. My mind just processes what it's supposed to be not what it actually is. This one better?
