It is, and has been for a very long time. Some people would use "creative spelling" to avoid the filter. Adding that to it just helped avoid people getting infractions, when the filter caught the re-spelling just as it would the word they were trying to not use (kinda like the brother in the back seat is "trying not to touch you....")
