I've run into the same issue recently, Bill. I swear 50% of the videos I have posted in the last month work, while the other half just show a link, despite pasting them in the exact same way!

EDIT: Why did the video embed when I quoted your post?!?!?! ARGH!!!!

It embedded because I edited my OP, probably as you were typing that. The link needed to be in [noparse][video][/noparse] tags and needed to read [noparse]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JrN3EgJVXg[/noparse]. The first time, I think I left out the "/watch" part of it.

I'm not sure why you typing it in the same way gives different results, unless what you're given to type in is somehow different. The first one I pasted in was when I was on my phone, though, and corrected from my laptop once I could actually see the whole thing correctly.

Heck, I can't get any videos to embedded and more. Even a copy/past from youtube won't work anymore as well. So de we need the [vide] .......link....... [/vide] ?

I left the o out of video so it would show the text in the [ ] .

You can also enclose stuff in [noparse][noparse][/noparse] tags to show what you want people to see.

Anyway... I'm going to embed a video into this post to see, but I think it will work. My text to start will be

[noparse][video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKIii-AHHlg[/video][/noparse]

[video=youtube;EKIii-AHHlg]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKIii-AHHlg[/video]

OK... And when I did that, it changed my text automatically to
[noparse][video=youtube;EKIii-AHHlg]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKIii-AHHlg[/video][/noparse]

I should note that when I entered this, I manually typed the tags, [noparse][video][/video][/noparse] on either end of the line of text above the video. I cut/pasted the actual URL [noparse]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKIii-AHHlg[/noparse]

but my understanding is that if you click the "Insert Video" button (

)on your post, it will do the same thing if you then paste in the http.... data to the blank.
