Bolt action 16 gauge shotgun that belonged to my grandfather. Great old gun and fun, hard to get shells for sometimes cause it isn't the traditional 20 or 12
me too oddly enough. it has been the family gun since my dad was a kid. my grandpa got it for helping a guy who worked for stevens build a garage. sweet deal if you ask me.
Stevens, single shot 410 for me, shortly followed by the Ole Man's Model 37 Featherlight 12 GA.
Wish my nephew was here. Let the lil guy shoot my XD9 SC last summer for his first real gun. A few minutes later, he got to shoot a S&W 500 Magnum, 12" barrel. Wish I had video of that. HA!
.22 Marlin. In true Christmas story style. My parents gave me a box of ammo for christmas when i was 15. Then told me i had to wait till my 16th birthday for the rifle. I was excited and heartbroken all at the same time. Then Dad "found" an extra present behind the tree. Wasn't too long before we were all outside!
I don't remember for sure which one was my first; however, my uncle who taught me how to shoot at three guns that we would practice with: S&W .357, S&W .45, and a DE .50 cal.
Ruger 10/22. Probably about 6 or 7 years old. Had my oldest brother pick me up a Mossberg 500 12g when I was 14 or 15. Bought an 8mm Mauser when I was 18 but didn't shoot it until about a year ago (had it about 12 years before shooting it). If I would've shot it not long after I bought it, I'd have went back and bought every single one they had left. It cost me under $60 at the time.
