She's a Dem guys. That means she buys all that socialist crap and worse, wants to foist it on us.

Does that make all Republicans white supremacists?

There are moderates in every group. Gabbard, for example, is miles away from people like Cortez and Sanders.

Yeah; she's miles away from us, too (the more miles the better)

    From her own website https://www.votetulsi.com/node/25028

Tulsi has a consistent record of advocating for sensible gun control. She has long called for reinstating a federal ban on military-style assault weapons and high capacity magazines, requiring comprehensive pre-purchase background checks, closing the gun-show loophole, and making sure that terrorists are not allowed to buy guns. Tulsi has an F-rating from the NRA, a 0% rating by the Hawaii Rifle Association, and a 100% rating by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

Her attitude towards the 2nd Amendment is anything but moderate from what I've seen. :noway:

Right, and I wouldn't suggest anyone here vote for her. Being against 2A, though, doesn't default to being a "socialist". Let's be accurate with our labels, we dont have to reduce ourselves to adopting every tactic "they" use.

When I want 'platitudes' I usually just fire up my turntable

I get that snark is chic, but what do you disagree with here?

I think the overgeneralizarions on all topics... race, religion, politics... is the core of why things are so divided right now. I'd rather be accurate, and not feed into the growing unrest and hate toward these vague groups.

Gees. I just said she's cute.

Dinner, dancing, a few drinks... I promise I won't vote for her.

In fact I have a record of not voting for love interrest.

    True story:
My wife ran unopposed for VP of College Republicans... we were just friends back then... I found her constant phone calls and worrying to be annoying, so I voted "no confidence" for my future wife. I was the only one who did. By best friend the president of the club knew it was my vote, but kept his mouth shut. For years, even after we got married, she was trying to guess who it was. It finally came out at some reunion, oh, what excitement!

Incorrect. Things are so divided now because the two worldviews represented have almost no overlap, little or no compromise is possible (See: RKBA)

What I disagree with is the constant need to recite the SJahada. It is T D US

And the choice of words was deliberate (and apropos). Nothing personal, you're not the only one. ToO

Then just what does being against the 2nd amendment and RKBA default to, pray tell?

“The difference between communism and socialism is that under socialism central planning ends with a gun in your face, whereas under communism central planning begins with a gun in your face.”

    "Democrat"?

It's like when they call anyone to the right of them "fascists"... it's wholly inaccurate.

Calling every Democrat a Socialist just doesn't fit... and dealing with a socialist should be a bit different than dealing with an everyday liberal.

It's the whole thing about considering all wrong-thinkers to be the worst thing you can think of, so you're justified in treating them like an enemy combatant or something.

All Socialists are Left, but not all Left are Socialists. We all should know that to be true, otherwise we aren't being serious.

Accurate language is better than inaccurate language. She’s not a gun grabbing socialist. But she’s in the spectrum. As you said though, she’s probably the sanest Democrat running. That’s why she's got next to no chance of winning.

Saner. Yes. Still likes her taxes and giving money away.

Oh yeah. And the gun control.

And these tend to just be Democrat policy points.

If we want to have a conversation about "Does the Democrat party now only represent Socialist policies"... then we can have it... but I know it's not accurate. At least, not right now.

Even hard leftists like Pelosi seem to want nothing to do with the insanity that Cortez/Sanders represents. Clinton, Pelosi, etc... they like their money. They don't want Socialism. They may softball it here and there... but when it comes down to it, they want nothing to do with it.

I wouldn't call Clinton a socialist, I wouldn't call Trump a fascist... because they just aren't accurate terms. People use extreme labels like "Nazi" where it doesn't apply because it works at villianizing people they hate. "Nazi" is such a lazy one, anyway... it's just the middle school "worst thing ever", so it gets over-applied where it doesn't fit at all.

The media does this all the time... and I hate to see when "we" do it, too. It's not helping anything.

    I think that’s all accurate.

If we’re going to have that discussion about how socialist the Democratic Party is, I think we should wait to see how successful the “fresh faces” are in the next election. Moderates should primary them.
