    Just snapped necks on them turkeys. Let em stay up late for an inaugural viewing of The Neverending Story. Now it's bourbon and pickle time. Spooky movie is in order.

    My wife hears them, but even with a hearing aid (my older one that I trust to bring out here in the woods)), I don't.
    So quiet for me is REALLY quiet ! ;)

    Man that sucks.

    Our area can be fairly rowdy on a Saturday night as in outdoor festivity's and such but tonight it was blessed quite. Save for the insects.

    My grandparents had a large home in Woodruff Place when I was a kid (back when it was a very nice area ). I had sleepovers often.
    One of my fondest memories was listening to the katydids when I was tucked in bed, and the windows were all open (no A/C back then).
    Man-o-man .....that sound was so sweet !
