Man, birthday Sundays are good around here. "Youngest" son gave the ribs a six hour smoke along with some wings and salmon on the grill, roasted potatoes, salad, roasted corn on the cob and homemade red velvet cake with a layer of cheesecake in the middle.

Last Fall, I was down in the back, and couldn't do much physical exertion. Time, and a surgical injection of steroids finally got me back on track.

Today I split some wood..... not a lot, but still !
Then, I cleaned the cabin's gutters.
It was nice to have the work..... I counted my blessings. :)

Fire wood warms a man thrice. Once when he cuts it, once when he splits it. And of course, as it burns.

    Good for you, Mike.:chest:

    Morning folks! :coffee:

My oldest son just left for home and work down in Bloomington. He came up yesterday afternoon and along with my youngest son, we grilled burgers, drank beer and sat around a bonfire. We also got some lights strung around the patio, so it was fun and productive.

They are both the Vantage series with an adjustable objective, 1" tube. One is a 3-9x40 with a 30/30 reticle and the other is 4-12x40 with mil-dot reticle.

I'll also have a set of Warne rings #202M:

    And a Weaver #48376 mount:

Hey, TD. I’m interested in that 4-12x. Shoot me a price please. I’ve been in need of an upgrade to the optic on my old Marlin
