That sucks! There’s a lot of car there going to waste with a bad motor and tranny. I hate to think of the cost of fixing either of those. It kind of makes me want to move the wife’s 2011 535 along to a new home. It’s only had about a hundred miles put on it since last fall when we got the Subaru.

It is technically repairable. The motor needs an oil cooler and oil cooler manifold block and the transmission functions fine except in a rare instance and it needs some module. The parts are expensive enough but the labor time is insane along with special tools and specialized BMW computer programming.

I thought about filling it with Tannerite for the SGE and blasting it with 22s.....

That’s the truth. They send an email saying it will be 2 to 4 weeks, then follow it with a shipping notice 3 days later. Not that I’m complaining though. It’s quite the opposite of Troy. They say 2 to 4 weeks, then take 2 months to ship.
