“I don’t care what you say, those green dot mags are mine!”
They were yellow, dang it.

That's a lot of pistols and mags.
mcapo won? Which one was it?Most people had more than that on their table. That picture was everyone throwing their best one or two down for a challenge. That mcapo won.

Matt, was it one of the ones that you let me look at when we met? Those all felt fantastic!
Well......we let the ladies pick so there is that to figure in. His gun was awful purdy you know.
The final two were the Red Head and the CTS. The CTS fell out of the running at one point but was pulled back in by the judges. The Red Head went straight to the finals.
The final five were all stellar triggers. Actually that entire table was outstanding! Every Glock at the event went and hid in woods until the judging was over (just for the record, I did bring a Glock).
HA!You were the glock guy. You would probably ride a Kawasaki to Sturgis.

That hurts. Deeply. To the core.
I did have a KZ 900 back in the day before the crotch rockets started taking over…Had an AMF sportster at the same time too. I was young and broke what can I say…
CM, is that your phantom on the lower left part of the picture?
Yes, it is. I was supposed to shoot it but the "judging part" got in the way of that and then it was 2:00pm lunch call.
Never did get to fire it, sadly.
Early in the day, I was shooting Ok but by 11am it went to hell. Didn’t we start shooting right at about 10:55? It seems like I could only put a decent string together for about 5 minutes.
The Wizard rung the gong on the first round with the old Carbine too. Must be something about those rifles that warps the barrel or something after round 1.

Did you get your phantom straightened out?
So that's what he was 'smithing on.Yes, as the great and powerful OZ (*read WIZ*) did his thang TWICE to my Phantom.
He put a weaker OEM spring in it initially and then swapped it out
After it was hanging up on reset.
The 2nd spring was the nuts and performed perfectly.!
All Hail, Da WIZ.!
I wish I had put old Shiny in for judging on Saturday. It would not have one, but it would have been nice to see where it stands as compared to The Wizard’s work. I think it’s pretty good and would have been worth judging, but it’s no where near ‘Bill’. That’s still my standout pistol and is a good example of the Wizard’s skill.
The barrel fit on Shiny is tight enough that I cannot remove it for cleaning. Not sure how I got the thing in there, but until it’s shot a lot more, it is not coming out of that slide.
