No new main line needing repaired?

Score one for the Hornet family!

Time to celebrate with a new gun purchase!
But what should it be???? Actually, I bought that holster for the Wrangler and a couple of bike parts and waiting for a guy to get back on some other bike parts… trying to tie up some loose ends there…

Is the poop pipe fixed yet...???
It’s all fixed up! First guy that came out was trying to skin us… different company came out today, probed it and found it was just more roots. He got through the entire 80’ backyard and into the main line.

He said we are good to go, he said a camera would be a waste of money. Said to have them out in a year to do the same and see how the roots grow back so we can gauge how frequently we need to do this. Very professional with this second company, called and explained what he was going to do and what he found since I was at work. Very happy!

Loaded up the next batch of ammo for further load development. Ammo prepped for the Howa 223, the Howa 6.5CM and the Noveske AR. The Bergara 308 is going to get another 40 rounds of factory match ammo through it before I decide to try different weight ammo.

The Noveske AR did not like the Hornady 88gr ELD Match bullets, so I decided to load up some 80gr bullets instead to see if it likes those. Hoping to figure out if the Howa likes 73's or 80's and now 73's and 80's for the Noveske too. If they both like the 73's, I'm okay with that too.

You can see how bad the ladder test looked below with those 88's. There's going to be vertical spreading due to the different velocities, which is the point of the ladder test (that and checking max psi) and at 300 yards there will be some horizontal spreading due to wind (and some shooter error too). But notice how different the spreading is from the 73's on the left to the 88's on the right. Bad, very bad. The barrel is a 1:7 twist and didn't cause any keyholing/tumbling, but it sure as hell does not like that bullet.

Here is a 73gr ELDM on the left, loaded to fit inside an AR mag. The 80gr on the right is loaded long (bullet is 0.020" away from lands) and will have to be single loaded with a Bob Sled, since it won't fit inside the mag.

I also made a few press upgrades last week. Added a roller handle to the Dillon and also a UFO light kit. Money well spent.

    Incoming 7.62 X 39 brass-cased, from SGAmmo ! :alright:
30 lbs. worth should hold me for a fortnight !

Plus, I ordered some 9mm, and some specialty caliber ammo from two other suppliers.
With what's going on, I figure that ammo is going to start rising in $'s again.
    Stock up, laddies !

I got my 9mm barrel ordered for the P229 along with what other parts are needed to complete the 9mm slide assy. While ordering stuff, I picked up a Kydex holster for the P226s. I’ve come to really like the Kydex holster that I have for the P229. It makes a great holster for those times when working in the garage. Most of my really nice Kramer horsehide holsters have some driveway rash on them from being worn while working on a car. To be honest though, it was a want more than a need. I don’t carry a P226 when working on cars.

You are probably right MM. I just got a case of 5.56 thinking the same thing. I sure do miss the old days when shooting was cheap fun.

Yup. An upcoming carbine class is gonna sting. At least it's rounds well spent. Ain't doing me much good just sitting there, gotta stretch that muscle at least once a year if possible.
