I just need the space. I sold both the big safes when I culled the herd at retirement. Kept the 2 StakOn double locking cabinets and bought a much smaller long gun safe and pistol safe. This was an effort to limit my involvement to a manageable level. The double locking cabinets are full of ammo. The pistol safe has bled over to a shelf I put in the long gun safe and I have 2 rifles in process with no home when they are done. Looks like my plan is an utter failure.....:):

    I feel your pain.

I can help you open some space in the ammo cabinets, perhaps. :):

I bought a bigger safe when we moved. At the time I thought, it will take me a while to fill this thing! It didn't.

I had 2 large Liberty's both full to bursting. Spouse knew I was selling off to buy new appliances in prep for retirement. When the numbers allowed she asked for the space back. I complied.......:(

Is this a group therapy thread now?

I sold off a bunch years ago and step away from the "hobby". Said I'd never fill up the one large safe again. Stepped back into the hobby and I recently brought home a former CM-AR and it won't fit. Handguns are overflowing. I am hesitating to buy another safe as I'll just fill it up...

I told my wife when we moved and bought the bigger safe I was good. Now I'm trying to convince her that I was good, then. Now I need another safe so I can separate long guns and hand guns.

I am fairly blessed that another safe would be fine as I am out kicking rocks and making extra money. Her thing would be where to put it.

The only real therapy that works with this group is GPT. But, that tends to drag us deeper down the rabbit hole instead of helping us find a way out.

I am juggling new house expenses with a strong desire to dive back into gun stuff. Ugh.

I did the same. Sold a bunch of stuff preparing to move. Moved. Wanted to buy stuff to replace what I sold. I jumped back in too quick and had some unexpected house expenses come back to bite me a little.

It kills me when I buy the same or similar gun repeatedly. My buy/sell history is comical when looked at as a whole. Right now I just don't know what I want, but know that I want "something". Got an itch, trying to scratch it, but can't seem to figure out where it's coming from. Checked the usual spots, nope not there.
