So I grew very bored sitting around trying to past this crappy cold I have been fighting all week so I lit up the shop.

Pulled out the older race gun and started going through the parts pile.

Found these grips. Not bad. I was tired of the big wood ones anyway. Fit them up to the gun.....

So I look at the thumb safety. I have never liked the one I put on it originally since I switched up my grip.
    So it began.

If my son remembers, I should have my original compact home with my come Sunday. That was my first Cajunized CZ and while it has all of the good parts inside, I don't think I did anything more than a cursory polish on the internal parts. It should make a good, cheap project gun to bring it up to current standards. It's also sporting a bit of a worn finish, so there might be Cerakote in its future.

I don't even remember what grips I had on the 75B Compact when it was loaned to him last summer. It might be sporting VZs, but who knows. The question is: which one do I send back down with him? I'm thinking that I might send the P07 down but the SP01C might be a good candidate too. I toyed with sending the G30 down with him, but right now that's in the end table next to the wife. It's as close to carrying in the house as I can get her to go.

I need to do that to the Colt 9mm I picked up in December. I've run about 350 rounds through it and have not done a thing to it. It's going to be a project gun eventually, but just has not floated to the top of the priority list yet. It's a fun shooter though.
