Talked to Buds. Lady was super nice and apologized a bunch. She got the supervisor to agree to give me a full refund and send a prepaid shipping label. So all I'm out is the $20 fee I paid the LGS. :)

That's really good news T-D! It restores faith in Bud's. Still sucks that they sent a cracked gun out, but at least they're taking it back.

Sorry for the emotional roller coaster ride. I'm thankful you guys tolerate me. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

I'm going back and forth on my decision to buy a regular P-01 and not wait for an Omega. Is there any real reason to get rid of the regular one to buy an Omega?

Omegas are nice. I have a few. I have a standard P01 and I'm not even contemplating replacing it. :twocents:
I try not to fix what ain't broke.

It definitely ain't broke. I haven't been able to shoot it yet but I have dry fired it a few times and everything about it just feels awesome. I have just heard the Omega system is much easier to take apart and get back together.

Possibly a slightly nicer trigger and the ability to switch to a safety are the only things I can think of... :dunno:

The safety wouldn't ever get put on mine. The possibility of a nicer trigger (I'm guessing because of simplicity?) is obviously a plus. How hard is it to take the regular trigger system apart and get it back together? I've heard the Omega is much easier.
