To uphold the original intent, I decided to wear a native American ring today .... honoring 1/2 the original Thanksgiving participants.
Effie C. dene' (of the people) was the first native American woman to be granted a patent. She had to go to the Supreme Court to accomplish that, and became a hero to her Zuni tribe, and all natives.

This is what the patent was for: the design of this ring, that celebrates 'water'.
My ring was made by her, and is one of my most treasured possesions.

Never saw a deer. Only shots I heard sounded like a couple mags from a handgun - slow steady multiple shots. No loud, BANG!, I'd expect from a deer hunter.

Wind wasn't favorable with my location and I decided to come home and eat with the family. My mom and step dad came to my house. Lunch over...boy is down for a nap, I may be next.

Yeah, there is no getting that off no matter how much I scrub it. Inside is clean, so there's that.

It was a cheap one from Bass pro that my wife picked up for me probably close to 25 years ago. I was on the hunt for a nice bigger one this year, but I ended up picking up another cheap pot and burner just as a backup and to be able to have a 2nd turkey stand to have bird #2 ready to go without having to pull the other bird off a hot stand right away.

One is none... Even with turkey fryers.
