Thanks, I would, but I'm looking for the one that mounts on the sling stud and wasn't sure how solid they are. I know I can probably replace the sling studs and mount a rail section, but not sure I'm interested in going down that road.
    No problem, thought I'd offer.

I did dig it out and it's a m-lok with a rail mount adapter.

FWIW, a rail/stud mount is cheap and a easy install.

If you change your mind, let me know.

They run some smoking deals on some used guns. If I lived up by @Born2vette I'd have to go in there every other day just to see what they had. Never know what you will find.
Used to stop by at least weekly but had to stop. They do all know be by name, kind of like cheers when I walk in “Hi Norm!”

Last time I was in their in store inventory was a little low.

Anyone have a Magpul bipod that mounts on a rifle sling stud. If so how do you like it? I'm not looking for an Atlas, just something solid and reasonably priced to put in my Savage 17HMR bolt gun.

I have have one on the shelf. It was most likely used on a 22LR. I also have an older Harris that mounts to a sling stud. The Magpul is easier to get mounted.

It should work well on your savage. On heavier recoil guns, I like to lean in to load the bipod and I would lean toward rail mount or m-lok for that. The magpul/sling stud mount can work well with heavier recoiling guns...I just wouldn't preload it as heavily.

Morning all. Licorice spice tea and a peanut butter and molasses sammitch this morning. Drainage has my throat sore and I was waking Barb with the cough so I'm up. Got three traps to check after first light. Little brother made some sets to help thin my coyote herd. Feeling some better physically so I think I'm on the mend.
    Bout time. :coffee:

Got to the farm, couldn't find headlamp flashlight. Walking in, sling came off the front end of the rifle. Got up in the tree and realized I lost my warm hat somewhere along the walk. It's basically shooting light when I finally get settled in, and another hunter across the line starts walking in.

It can only go up from here!
