I setup a stage today, in order to photograph the insects that are inside my Burmite Amber. There are more inside than I thought !
For now, I concentrated on three prominent insects that were close to the top surface, and fairly close together.
The light source is the 'Happy Light' that I use in the winter .... but it gets hot.
Hopefully, not hot enough to wake the insects from their 65 million year old sleep !

I twice suggested you guys should save me and no one stepped up.
More of an mcapo ballpark to be able to help with that than mine.

That said, when I was up on the Northside yesterday, before I even shot my Echelon, I had to fight off thoughts of heading up to Marksman to pick up its twin. Yeah, it's an illness.

Been practicing slide top cuts. Various cutters and end mills.

#1 is with a single point thread cutter.

#2 is a combo of 1/8" ball end mill and 1/4" .045 radius end mill.

#3 is a combo of 1/8" ball end mill and 1/4" ball end mill.

#1 and #2 will go into production. And I'm done playing for the night. Time for a rum n coke....err wild cherry Pepsi.

Brought the Ed Brown Kobra carry home tonight since no one would save me from myself.

No photos tonight so did it really happen?

Another topic...if one is none and two is one, are three two or still one and it takes 4 to be two??? Rules confuse me.

Those all look good but that number 2 looks very classy to my eye. Very nicely done with sharp lines and good definition.

Yeah I really like that one too. I'm gonna play around with that design a little more this morning.
Decorations may add to visual appeal but keep in mind they should also reduce the chance of glare between the sights.

I too like #2. I'm curious about how much metal is left after flattening the slide top and doing the ball cuts.

Keep up the good work.

I believe it's an addiction. There's cures made for sicknesses. Theres not a cure made for this addiction, no matter how hard the Gubermunt is trying, thank God.

Sure there is. It's called "just one more".

I'm sad to report the hoover self destructed last night and is no more. I am only left with $3 on me this morning. Luckily, I trained on the professional use of a broom and dust pan early on. You youngsters may need to google those two tools.

 A addict/veteran enabler suggesting a group of addicts/enablers to help keep said addict/veteran enabler from his fix...riiight.. :lmfao:

Well yeah...but I always get the answer I "need".
