    My ex-wife's mom and step-dad lived in Longview and he was a Logger. We went out to visit them about 2 months after the blast. The photo really doesn't really show the devastation.

    That photo shows plenty of devastation. If it was worse in person, which I don’t dispute, it must have been mind blowing to see firsthand

    In one area the trees were blown pointing up the mountain side but the trees were still standing on top. One of the trees was around 8ft at the base but snapped and left the stump. I wish I had more pictures.

    MM, hope you're feeling better today.
    Thanks for the good wishes .... from you, and several others that have sent them. :)
    My wife picked up some over-the-counter meds that have helped me, so today is a bit better.
    Still .... I'm hunkering-down at the house for the weekend. Doing the 'drink plenty of fluids' routine, and hopeful that the symptoms will taper off.
