    I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I have a Rock River Arms AR and actually ended up calling the factory to figure out what they used to prep the gun.... it smelled really, REALLY good. Turns out they used a breakfree-type chemical, G96 gun treatment, on it. Guy I spoke to said that they had to find something that didn't stink up the factory and this stuff was the best smelling that they found and that they use it exclusively. Daniel Defense may do something similar.

    I've never had the experience of new gun smell. Poor fellows like me have to stick to the used gun rack!

    If it's anything like new car I entirely understand the excitement, however.
