The wife and I went to see TSO 2 weeks ago, great show but the pepsi center was only half full.
probably due to the fact the bronco's were playing less than a mile away
Movie - I dunno. I hate Lifetime, but at Christmas they sucker me in with their twinkly lights and perfectly decorated trees...hours wasted watching Lifetime at Christmas.
Music - I LOVE Christmas music. As in Nov. 1 hits and the Christmas music is on. "O Holy Night," is my favorite, but "Carol of the Bells," "Sleigh Ride," and TONS of other ones are on my list.
White Christmas - Bing Crosby
The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole
Silent Night probably my favorite hymn (although I try to sing at as "Stille Nacht", I usually fail)
A Christmas Story has been mentioned, once with a reference to small town Indiana. In fact, it was set in IN, and I think the author was from here. We rawk, man.
Then there's National Lampoon's Christmas. Watch that. The grandmother!!! Listen to her voice. Do you recognize it? You should. She's Mae Questal, the original voice of BETTY BOOP! No kidding.
Back when things were on only once a year on the alphabet soup networks, my favorite thing was to put up the tree with "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" on the TV. More famous voices: the narrator was Boris Karloff (of Frankenstein fame, you know, the old one) and the singing was by ("They're great!") Thurl Ravenscroft (Tony the Tiger for the uninitiated). Of course the story was by Theodore Geisel (Dr Seuss, once again for the unfortunately ignorant).
Movie: A Christmas Story. The PERFECT christmas movie. End of discussion.
SongTie):
(a)Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Sinatra.
(b)O Come Emmanuel - Enya.
I guess I'm just sentimental like that.
Least Favorite:
Song: The Twelve Days of Christmas.
Movie: It's a wonderful life. I have never seen it in entirety, and I hope never to...a personal holiday goal.
