The Benchmade 940 is a sleek design and has the axis lock. It is a real work horse and has a slim profile.

Although for shirt and tie occasions I carry a Bear and Sons 3 inch lockback with red jigged bone handles.

The gentleman's knife I'm running is nothing special, but I like it. It think I got it for $20 in Nashville.

I carried Uncle Henry's or Cases to school every day. I remember the teacher needing to cut something and asked who had a pocket knife. Nearly every male raised their hands...
The first pocket knife I ever bought was on a school field trip in 2nd grade. I skipped lunch and used the money my parents gave me for lunch to buy the knife. No one cared. I'd have been expelled if that happened today.

I know it is way out of your budget but my favorite wearing a suit knife is the wharncliffe damasus folder. after buying my spyderco vallotton, this will be my next knife to save for.

    SOME of you are helping.

    SOME of you are not...

    :D

But I appreciate all the Google Fodder.

And no, as much as I'd like a CRK - it won't happen. I just can't afford it.

If you are looking for a knife in your range, look at knives with 8cr or 9cr steel. Something like an enlan, sanrenmu or harnds. They are chinese makers but they are not copy cat makers. in your price range it is difficult

Google "KERSHAW KNIVES"; a ways down you will see "Images for Kershaw Knives" click on it; and I'll bet you will find something before you leave the page.
