It's been so long since I posted the start of this build, I figured I'd start a new thread. This project began sometime over a year ago with the lower receiver purchase. Since then, I have been through countless items, rails, etc to finish up how it should have began! But hey, that's what a build should be anyways, right? And all my stamps finally came in. :rockwoot:

As it sits right now, 5" barrel with can.

    Weight: 6.8lbs - no magazine
    Cost: A lot of money
    Fun: yes

Cost: A lot of money.
PM me if you want, but can you let us know the total cost just in parts?
Sure thing. It's been so long, as random items came from other builds or from the cabinet, but from quick online searches (no shipping), below are the individuals and totals.

    Lower:
-DDLES (double diamond law enforcement) dedicated 9mm lower, 7075 + vltor matching options, registered as SBR $370 including engraving
-RRA LPK and Buffer tube $95
-Magpul MIAD pistol grip in FDE $35
-Spikes tactical ST-T2 buffer with ST-9BS buffer spacer (comes as combo for $45)
    -Magpul CTR stock $70

    Upper
-Vltor MUR-1A upper receiver, with no forward assist $200
    -ADCO 5" barrel, threaded 1/2x28 $160
-Spikes Tactical 7" BAR rail w/ spikes FDE rail covers $172
-Spikes Tactical BCG ($200?, couldn't find anymore on website)
    -Magpul AFG2 in FDE $25
-PRI AR-15 9mm Gas Buster Charging Handle w/ Combat Latch $90
    -Troy Industries BUIS $200
    -AAC Tirant 9mm silencer $800
    -Fixed Barrel Spacer - $30

So... everything but can and tax stamps was about $1662. Plus can setup and tax stamps, $2892.

Sound level of 147gr Rainer loads with 4.0gr unique powder vs. metal chair dropping for reference!

I used to not understand why people wanted 9mm AR's, but after looking at all the ones people keep posting, I think understand. Looks awesome.

    what he said.

Looks great! I like the fact that it's a dedicated lower, i always thought the 223 magwell with a 9mm mag sticking out looked silly. I have some DD parts at home and i'm extremely pleased. I can't say enough good things about their sig 522 folding stock AR conversion adapter.

Looks awesome and cool. Post some video when you test run it. Would like to hear ho quiet it is. Great job!

Now that I have the stamp, I threw a fake spikes can for the range to zero irons. Still have to figure out if the feature or changing poi on the tirant is eliminated by the fixed barrel spacer. I hope so so I can keep zero and still replace with piston for pistol use, otherwise, have to re-zero each time I replace piston with spacer!

While I'm no "AR" guy, I really could dig something like this.

PM me if you want, but can you let us know the total cost just in parts?

You can leave out the tax stamps and the cost of the suppressor.

I presume that one could, if they wanted, build a similar rifle with "bargain" parts considerably less expensively?

Haha! Sure, I'll add up costs soon. I'll be going off Internet prices, estimating shipping.

    edit: completed in original post

Guess I could have saved up a bit more and got a cheap MG. Oh well, this is more fun anyways!

Setup looks awesome! It's funny, I'm building the almost SAME setup right now.

I have a DDLES Glock mag dedicated lower in 7075-AL, Vltor matching, with Vltor MUR 1 upper, Noveske 5.5" 9mm barrel and I ordered my AAC TiRant 9 a few weeks ago! Man, we must have the same taste in weapons.
