It's been there a while, but it hasn't been a gas station for a few years now, maybe since Jim Day passed away.
It looks like they did a lot of work on the building.

Back on topic (kinda): Why is diesel more than regular gasoline.
I mean, c'mon, diesel is basically a by-product of the refining process.
    They should give it away.
It's got to be .gov interference.

The owners of the suplus store are opening the gas station. There is also another new station planned for the vacant lot across from McDonalds by SAIC/old Visteon building.

I saw a new sign but I thought it was for the one that had been there for awhile--at least I think there's been one there for awhile. Is there a new one going in?

Heard it the other day. The one that's been there forever is cash only, that's why they do very little business. Supposed to be a whole new station going in according to the wife (who keeps her ear to the ground in Bedford). Be nice to have a station out on 37 for a change.

P*55es me off about Diesel. The only reasonable explanation I've heard is that Diesel is more of a European market and the US exports WAY more diesel and sets the price on the world market, not just the US.

Wow. I'd heard of neither. I guess that's what happens when you let the paper subscription lapse.

I got gas earlier for .84 cents a gallon.....with $1 off from Kroger. Wasnt long ago it cost me $135 to fill my truck....sometimes more than once a week. Now I can fill up with no discount for 50-60 bucks......sure makes a big difference.

Did the same today - $0.84/gallon for 35 gallons (the max you can get) with the $1.00/gallon points. Filled up both vehicles and some of the gas cans.

Felt like I hit the lottery.
