Don't believe me or did you read that as bragging?
Well, they are generally female names, so...I still say BigRed would be a great name for a sailboat.

You're both wrong.Pffffff. It was right, im just a word gigolo.
I'm guessing that his reaction was similar to mine upon reading that post, only I wasn't feel brave and/or rude enough to say it at the time, but since it came up again, here goes:Don't believe me or did you read that as bragging?
You're both wrong.
In this case, the correct word would be who's, as in "who is".
It's ok. Call me a grammar Nazi if you like.
I have thick internet skin.
Using proper English is now racist? Suburban, black and/or Appalachian are equally as valid? According to whom? Accepted? Sure, equal? Not by a long shot. This means you are exhibiting some racism or classism.
So since you've brought this back to JH School
Biden reportedly bought into the idea of this student loan forgiveness scam after talking to Kamala Harris, Liz Warren and Chuckie Schumer.
How about when you wake up tomorrow you put on a fun shirt.Using proper English is now rzacist? Suburban, black and/or Appalachian are equally as valid? According to whom? Accepted? Sure, equal? Not by a long shot.
No offense but the first person who accuses me of racism in person because I choose to ask a question rather than axe a question will likely not enjoy the following 60 seconds or so.
I don’t care how people talk. I use all sorts of “country folk” talk/words on a daily basis, some because they’re fun(ny) and some because they’re convenient shortcuts. You may consider it rude if someone corrects someone else’s grammar and depending on their intentions you may be right but holding up racism as a defense is ridiculous.
Totally fair assessment. Had I skipped the boat and starting the side business, I could have killed my loans.I'm guessing that his reaction was similar to mine upon reading that post, only I wasn't feel brave and/or rude enough to say it at the time, but since it came up again, here goes:
Look, it's your life, and your decision to make. But if you have multiple cars and a boat, and still haven't paid off your student loan debt, that's the perfect example of why so many in this thread are saying that for the vast majority of people, having student loans that they haven't paid off yet is not someone else's fault, nor the result of unfortunate or unforeseeable circumstances, but is the direct result of life choices they've made.
On top of that, the idea that the government may well be forcefully redistributing wealth to someone who lives in, by my standards, quite a bit of luxury, away from people who have lived quite frugal lives for the purpose of repaying the debt that they agreed to take on; well, that doesn't do much to assuage the anger many are feeling towards the potential recipients of this "student loan forgiveness."
If it's an opt in program, you must ask for it. If you had to personally ask the taxpayer/s who would funding your loan repayment (not forgiveness), would you still ask for it? One of my main objections to gov assistance programs is that there is little or no accountability. People who don't NEED it still ask for and get it. If you bought toys instead of paying off your loans and then the taxpayers pay your loan off, you have in principle asked them to buy you a boat (or whatever) and gotten it. I don't think that's right.I'm not asking for forgiveness nor am I voting for it. I don't believe the gov should be bailing out student debt. But if they offer me money I'm not going to say no.
Again all fair, I have read that some (particularly people who's went to the same "school" as me) just have their stuff forgiven without making a request. I dont plan on requesting my stuff to be forgiven. I took on the responsibility, I'll handle it.If it's an opt in program, you must ask for it. The student loans are a constant nag but something I can afford to pay. I'm not asking for forgiveness nor am I voting for it. I don't believe the gov should be bailing out student debt. But if they offer me money I'm not going to say no.
