    I was talking to my grandpa today, and he brought out his collection of "stuff". In it he had a J. Stevens A. & T. Co. single shot, break open pistol. I think it was a .22, I'm hesitant to call the case length, and also wondering if they made a .25 ACP version, I don't trust my dad's recollection of firing it once to verify the ammo type. The serial # I found on it was in the 50000's.

    It looked just like this, but with blueing on the trigger and frame.

    If anyone has any experience with these, this company or knows any of the history behind the guns or the company, please tell me.

    Do some internet searching on Stevens Model 35. I believe that's what you have there. They were sometimes refered to as a" Parlor" or "Offhand" pistol.
    Yes, they did make this same model in 25 Cal.
