Exactly what I thought. His novels were violent and grotesque. I read a few several years ago, but have not touched them since.

Sorry... I think hes an ass for stating so... but it doesnt change my opinion of his books I have read.

Just finished watching Shawshank. I loved the Dark Tower series, actually thinking about listening to it again.

Sucks ass that he is a typical sellout, but I imagine that is easy when you are rich.

King is hands down one of my favorite authors, right up there with Hemingway.

To be painfuly honest, I think something happened to him when he got hit. I think he broke psychologically and has been scared since.

He convinced his publishers to write a book that wasn't horror. the condition, was it should be 4 short stories, and one should be horror.
He wrote DIFFERENT SEASONS.
3 of which were 'not horror':
Rita Hayworth (Shawshank Redemption)
The Body (Stand by Me)
The Apt Pupil (The Apt Pupil)

Not too shabby. the man has skillz. despite his gun views. But I never read his books because of his gun views... nor will I give one rats ass what his gun views are when I read one of his books.
