Get a bottle of zesty italian seasoning a add about a Tbsp. of whole rosemary.
Cover steaks with it in a bowl and refrigerate for about 4 hrs before cooking.
    Good stuff.

Meat is murder, tasty tasty murder. IF it needs it, I'll paint on some A1, sprinkle some seasoning mix both sides, and let it sit to room temperature. I'd never use A1 after it was grilled, though. Get a good one, and I won't put anything on it. I don't like pepper and m'lady is allergic, and I don't really like salt much either. Now a prime rib needs horseradish, and a filet should be either bacon'd or oscar'd. I do like me some prime rib, got a roast in the freezer.

I'm looking for some good steak marinade recipes for grilling. Need to impress my fiancée. lol. So if you have anything you use that you are willing to share, please post them.

Get a better steak if it needs marinade. Simple seasoning should complement a good steak. It is best to let the steak come to room temp, season with salt, pepper and garlic. Grill on a screaming hot grate.

Mike wins with the correct answer.

Marinating a ****ty piece of meat and calling it a steak is like spritzing perfume on a hooker and bringing her home to meet your parents.

Buy quality steaks and cook them correctly and then....

    ...wait for it...

Skirt steak has to be the exception.

Of course, in the food emporia around here, you'd be hard pressed to find seasonings made for long pork; I suppose you'd have to experiment and come up with your own.

I use half a bottle of Dales, a bottle of Lawrys Steak and chop, and a little sesame seed oil all mixed together. Let the steaks sit overnight and rotate them through the mix for a good coat. The sesame seed oil makes the rest stick to the meat. I have a big shaker with salt, pepper and granulated garlic that I sprinkle on when they hit the grill. I like to dada bit of moisture (beer). While they are grilling.

Salt, pepper, let rest to room temp, grill on as hot a surface as possible to get a good crust on your steak to hold the juices in
