I didn't know the State owned the casinos. I thought they would just collect a butt load of tax from it!? WTF?

Fullauto what the language before the MODs blast you with an infraction as they have done to me. They want G-RATES language from now on.

In terms of your statement from what I read in the paper there are "state employees" that are "gaming agents (eg. law enforcement) that must be on-site at the 11 casinos in Indiana. With no budget these gaming agents can not work and as such the casinos can not be open because by IN LAW the agents must be present for the casino to be open. This affects the casinos and the horse track as well.

The best part about all of this is that if the state shuts down because they don't have a balanced budget Indiana Gaming Comission locks the doors on the Casinos that produce around 14 mil in state tax revenue a day. Every day that they can't agree the budget gets smaller. However the real question is why do we have "non essential services"? Doesn't that term sound like something that a government shouldn't be providing?

Once again, I gotta say, GOOD FOR MITCH!

I'm wearing my "MY Man Mitch" shirt this week.. Bauer cried it was all Mitch's fault and that there was no leadership from the governors office. So Mitch proposes a budget( Blanced budget as specified by Indiana LAW!) and all Bauer does is hold hearing with college professors and assorted crybabies wanting more money! LOL

Good news... I rather have the state shutdown then pass an UNBLANACED BUDGET. Either pass a budget we can afford (based on current market conditions) or close! I recall Billy Clinton doing this to Congress and they (Congress) got their act together afterwards. DOn't touch the SURPLUS that is our rainy day fund and it's not raining outside.

Indiana Congress go do you job and pass a BALANCED BUDGET!!!! If you can't do that then please drop off your "I quit" letter and be gone with you.

    AMEN!!

Here's an idea, don't let those dumb a$$es in state house get paid for their special session until they pass a balanced budget. I guarantee you that it would have passed within the first 3 days. They are all out for themselves, and all want finances for their own agenda.

Also, why does this have to happen this week. I was planning on going to Louisville on Wed. with a couple friends to hit up the boat. COME ON INDIANA DON'T LET ME DOWN.
