Only a week? You should have more than that on hand. Just buying few extra cans of what ever food each week adds up quick. If you're buying ammo and/or some Kool SHTF 2000 Survival tool every week stop it and put that money towards something that will really keep you alive, food and water.Id don't get it, what does one do after the weeks supply of food runs out?
Ok, lets say you go to camp out in the state park and you have 5 years worth of food and enough other clothes and provisions to live for 5 years. 25ft away, or 1000ft away or 1 mile away there are all kinds of people with 1 weeks worth of food. You may have 5 years worth of ammo, but a good number of the others with empty stomachs will have a pretty good supply of ammo too. How long are you going to hold out in your tent or camper surrounded by the hungry hordes? Camping out in a state park with scores of people you don't know wouldn't be that much different from the superdome after Katrina.Only a week? You should have more than that on hand. Was wondering if State parks like Potato Creek are on the same power as the rest of the town/area or if they have a seperate source of power. Seemed like it could make a decent improvised bug out spot if options A and B didn't pan out. Obviously I wouldn't be the only one with that idea more than likely. Thoughts?
Why would anyone leave a fairly secure structure, like a house, to go live in a tent?
