    That aqueduct behind her runs for 12 miles from Mt Carmel to Caesarea over terrain similar to the knobs of southern Indiana. Twelve mile run and when it runs into Caesarea it dropped only 4 inches.

    It was built by Herod the Great over 2000 years ago when Marc Antony was hunting the killers of Julius Caesar, 12 mi run with only a 4 inch drop. It boggles the mind...

    And you can bet the engineer in charge knew the amount of drop over that distance to the half millimeter. Remarkable engineers, those Romans.
