So if I were to put a pistol grip on a shotgun and pay the $200 tax for a Form 1 AOW, I could cut the barrel short on any shotgun? Or does that have something to do with virgin receiver? I never understood what people meant when they say virgin receiver.

Impact Guns has one on an 870 receiver for sale now. It says its registered as an SBS but it says its an AOW. So it might not be allowed in IN.

I knew I wouldn't like the stock grip so I got me a new grip from Shockwave Technology. It is fun to shoot and low recoil with the new grip. Now I just need to stock up on 00 buckshot.

I mailed my form went pending last month so I have awhile before I should have to worry, but I already picked up the Blackhawk breachersgrip.. Supposed to make even 1 handed shooting possible.

I might add that I think they both hit targets with at least one of the guns.
