    The average man wouldn't have the ability to determine when a physical attack crosses the line between misdemeanor and felony.

    Good news is you don't have to.

    In simplest terms, the decision is "is it necessary to use deadly force to protect myself from death or life altering injury at this point?"

    Average people make this decision pretty often and get it right more often than not. Sometimes they don't make a decision at all, get stuck in the OODA loop or otherwise freeze up. The time to think about these things is now when you can pre-plan, not in the moment when you're already pretty taxed on processing and decision making.

    Being Costa Rica, all of our American justice system train of thought needs to go out the window.

    If the shooter has money, he will likely not be convicted. Ridiculous that this incident had to end this way, likely because of egos.
