This is the same as saying you carry a gun to compensate for something. Ridiculous.

    I love stacks.

I like stacks on a truck that gets used in a manner that stacks aren't just for looks. I've actually seen a 4cyl. S10 with what looked like dual 2 1/2" stacks. I don't think they were attached to the exhaust as you could hear his rusted out cat. and glass pack every time he tried showing his manliness.

I would like a truck with stacks just to irritate people who don't like them.

Then again, belligerence is my hobby...

And if I may add...ya can't have open stacks. I mean, they gotta have the covers that blow open when in use.

No Ruskies or ChiComs runnin' a rig like that, baby!!!

p.s. Mrs. Miguel not being home brings out the 'neck in me...

I know a guy that had a set of "harley drag pipes" given to him. He had them made into stacks on his 83 ford ranger with a 2.3 4cyl gas engine. Talk about your mad bumble bee sound. NOTE: If your pipes point straight up and you have no flapper caps on top ice build up in the pipes from a freezing rain can cause a no start condition!!

It is not nice to pour oil down in stacks so they smoke real good when warm. It can scare some owners into thinking they have engine problems.:rolleyes:

I'm going to try photo documenting when I see them.........

Single stack - looks to be about 10" diameter - check
Tow mirrors fully extended, no ball or hitch whatsoever on the truck - check
    Cummins stickers - check

I did not get the shot of him leaving the line,
It looked like an episode of Spy Hunter - activate smoke screen.
You almost could not see the truck.

Anyone else remember the Dodge( Little Red Express) trucks from about the early 1980s?

Other than this, 99.99% of the time I'm convinced the owner is basically telling the world he added a big long tube (or two) to his truck because his own tube is a bit, uh, short.

Hey man...don't be knocking the Cummins sticker. Stacks or no stacks, the sticker is still cool!

Stacks weren't even "new" when I was in high-school!

1954-1956. We put dual stacks on 39-48 Ford pickups, all sorts of single-stacks on Chevys, and ran straight-pipes underneath all our hot-rods.... usually Fords and Mercs. It was nearly all 2-inch chrome from a local junk-yard. What goes around comes around. Now for the "let the argument begin" topic ; What is the real purpose of non-muffllered motor-cycles? (except ricers)

Stacks are like black wheels, they had their time and place which has come and gone.

Why did black chrome never take off?

Hey hey hey comparing stacks to black wheels? Thats just.........an abomination. Seriously black wheels rock and stacks are just....a waste of bed space.
