    When was it made? All G.I. parts I would assume. Mine was built in 94 and is mostly G.I. parts except for the barrel. They are great rifles. Carried one in Vietnam for 18 months and it always went bang when I needed it.

    built around 78 Springfield don't have records from then ,I already talked to them.But from what I have read not many G.I parts during this time frame due to conponent shortages.Looks like commercial barrel ,opt rod and bolt.

    Even in the Guberments ultimate wisdom they selected the M14 over the FAL..... wait, that fact probably sides with the FAL!!! :dunno:

    I sold my FALs to get a couple more M1As years ago.... nothing like the old battlerifles!!!
