    Does it have eight legs? Hard to tell if there are eight or only six. If there are six, it's not a spider. (But still creepy and gross.)

    DEFINITELY a spider. Complete with webs. When sprayed with bug killer they lower themselves to the ground to get away.

    Oh, and they are nocturnal.

    Looks similar to this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_garden_orb_weaver_spider but it's native to Australia.

    Crab spider sort of looks like that too.

    Last yr I had oodles of orb weavers. Not a one this yr. ???

    I left em alone. Didn't plant any tomatoes along that side of the house this yr.

    They all came here, THANKS A LOT! :): I stopped counting when I hit a dozen. And thats JUST the front of the house.
