IMO: Dirty Harry's 44 Magnum is most iconic movie gun.

Honorable Mention: Scarface, Colt AR-15 "Say hello to my little friend"
Snatch: Desert Eagle .50 (great line from Bullet Tooth Tony)

    Movie Trivia:
Dr.No: James Bond had a Beretta before the Walther.

The 44 Auto mag in Magnum force. Eastwood needed a bigger gun. "This one will remove finger prints if used properly."

I had read some place that a 41-6" was used in part of the movies because Eastwood had problems getting the 8 3/8 out of it's holster. They had a 41-6" on hand and tried it. He could draw it better so they used it in the draw scenes. Then when he is shooting they show him with the 8 3/8 44mag.

I don't know if that is true or not. Just some thing I read some time back. I think it was in one of the gun mags.

Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid? Not really effective in real life, but probably stings like a mad bastard. IIRC, Mythbusters busted this one.

The 4-barrel shotgun from Phantasm 2 always comes to mind as memorable.

I'd have to go with the Winchester '73 rifle, tho. (I'm a sucker for the Herb Parsons level of shooting, so my opinion may solely be my own.)

The Lugars always caught my eye in the old WWII flix. Like nothing I'd seen before as a kid.
If we can venture into the fake world I like to visit from time to time, I'll also vote for the "88 Magnum. It shoots through schools". Great movie, but the schools thing isn't as funny in recent years.
